DOCTORAL SCHOOL IN LINGUISTICS
Ágnes Sántáné Túri is a Senior Assistant Professor at the Institute of German Studies at the University of Szeged. She graduated from the University of Szeged with an MA in German Studies in 2006 and an MA in English Language Teaching in 2011. She obtained her PhD in German Linguistics in 2021 with a dissertation entitled Die Selbstständigkeit der Substantivvalenz. She has been a member of the staff of the Institute of German Studies at the University of Szeged since 2006, and a Senior Assistant Professor since 2021. She has also taught at the Department of German Studies at the Pázmány Péter Catholic University (2017) and at the Department of English Language Teacher Education and Applied Linguistics at the University of Szeged (2020). Her dissertation topic is valency theory, especially German noun valency. She mainly teaches courses on descriptive grammar, morphology, syntax and contrastive linguistics (German-Hungarian, German-English). Her current research interests include the study of so-called light verb constructions, Stützverbgefüge and Funktionsverbgefüge and their valency properties.
