Márta Maleczki is an Associate Professor in the Department of General Linguistics, University of Szeged, Hungary. She was the head of the department from 1994 until 2013. She teaches courses in formal semantics, logic, and theoretical linguistics. Her main research area is formal semantics; her research works are partly descriptive (the semantics of indefinite DPs in Hungarian), partly theoretical and methodological. Accordingly, she takes part regularly in conferences on Hungarian, and in interdisciplinary conferences on logic and natural languages, semantics and pragmatics.
