DOCTORAL SCHOOL IN LINGUISTICS
Márton Gergely Horváth graduated in General and Applied Linguistics as well as French Language and Literature in 2006 at Pázmány Péter Catholic University. He then obtained a master's degree in Linguistics at Lyon 2 University in France in 2007. He defended his doctoral dissertation in 2017 at the Doctoral School of Linguistics at Eötvös Loránd University (Topic: Topicalization Strategies in Informal Spoken French; Supervisors: Giampaolo Salvi and Zsuzsanna Gécseg). From 2013 to 2024, he taught at Pázmány Péter Catholic University, and since 2024, he has been an assistant professor at the Department of French Studies at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Szeged. Since 2020, he has been the editor-in-chief of Verbum – Analecta Neolatina. His main research area focuses on the syntactic structures characteristic of spoken French and their relationship with information structure and prosodic features.
