Krisztina Szécsényi received her PhD from the University of Szeged, Hungary in 2010. At present she is an instructor at the Department of English Linguistics of Eötvös Loránd University (Budapest, Hungary) where she teaches syntax classes on BA, MA and PhD level. Her research focuses on syntax and the syntax-semantics interface, more specifically on scope and the left periphery, the structure of complement clauses and restructuring, auxiliaries, and questions related to agreement and case assignment. She mainly works within the Minimalist framework, but has also published in the Syntax First Alignment system.
